I'm linking up today with The Influence Network. I attended their conference last year, which was wonderful, and I am hoping to attend later this year again. If you're visiting for the first time from the linkup, welcome!
So, we were supposed to post a photo of ourselves that we like. I tend to be really picky when it comes to photographs of myself which I think many of us are, but I actually do like this one. I'm the girl on the left and the girl on the right is my friend Sarah. We've only known each other a year, but I feel like I've known her forever. This was taken at another friend's house during our Halloween party which explains my cat ears and whiskers. :) This photo reminds me of good friends and a wonderful fall weekend.
Share 3 Get-To-Know-Me Things:
1) I am not a morning person, especially during the wintertime. It takes all of my willpower to force myself out of my bed when it's dark and cold outside.
2) I would love to freelance write for a Christian publication.
3) Listening to Vince Gill can help me feel a little better when I'm sad, so I've been listening to him a lot lately.
What have I gained from the Influence Network?
One of the best things I've gained from becoming involved with the Influence Network is relationships with other bloggers. I didn't really know other bloggers that well before attending the conference and now I've gained some friendships with people that I can learn from and also get encouragement at the same time.
Now off to visit the other ladies linking up!

ReplyDeleteBrooke I've just meandered around your site a bit and am so sorry for this difficult time you're in. But trusting in God is never the wrong thing and I think you know that. I am saying a prayer for you right now -- for whatever it is that you need. He knows. Love you sister!

This is my first time here, but I'm going to stick around for sure. I want to read about this season and pray with ya through it. From the sounds of the other comments, your testimony is a beautiful one, even amidst hard times. I'm glad you linked up and I hope to meet you in September!

ReplyDeleteHey Brooke! I agree 100% (if 200% were a real percentage, I'd write that) about being a morning person. Hence the comment at almost 3:00 in the morning. I should go to bed....
ReplyDeleteAny tips on branching out as a freelance writer?

ReplyDeletehey brooke! I hear you on the winter morning thing. in the summer, I have no trouble getting out of bed + starting my day, but in the winter, I just want to curl up with my jammies + my blanket and never leave. unfortunately, my eight month old doesn't feel the same way :)
ReplyDeleteI wish there was a secret to waking up early. I'm in the same boat. Actually, I wish there was a secret to staying happy in the winter! Goodness it seems long, huh? We finally have some sunshine here in MI today so I'll try to send some your way. xoxo.
